Guildford Business Forum is a partnership between Guildford Borough Council, Guildford Chamber of Commerce and businesses based in the borough of Guildford. It enables a frank dialogue between all parties, an opportunity to hear all sides of an issue and to work together to maintain a dynamic commercial environment.

Guildford enjoys a mixed business community, home to many long-established home grown firms, large and small in all sectors. In recent years it has attracted many international and European firms to locate in the borough.

A retail sector that as well as purpose-built modern mall, has a cobbled historic high street with street markets. A professional community including local and international lawyers, accountants, bankers, insurance and marketing specialists.

A dynamic and well established manufacturing and high tec sector, underpinned by the University-linked Science and Research Park.

A thriving leisure and tourism infrastructure to support the business community and provide a stimulating environment for families and visitors.

A well integrated property sector to assist businesses with their needs and to give support to families too.

In recent years Guildford has attracted many businesses and consultants related to the oil industry. Enticed by the good transport links, skilled labour force and the nearby headquarters of International firms such as Arco, Ranger Oil, Esso, Fina and Phillips Petroleum.
