Who is eligible for shared ownership housing?

To be accepted on to the shared ownership register you must have lived in the Guildford Borough for 6 months and continue to do so or be working in the borough. You must also be able to show that you cannot afford to purchase a property on the open market. You will not be accepted if you currently own a property.

How to Apply

The demand for shared ownership schemes is often in excess of the number of properties available. This means that once applicants are accepted onto the register it is difficult to predict a waiting time. The list however is always open and for advice on your eligibility and an application form please contact the housing advice centre on 01483 444244 or call in during the following opening hours;

Monday to Thursday - 8.30am until 5pm Friday - 8.30 am until 4.30pm
