    • Residents may have:

      • A learning disability.
      • A drug/alcohol problem that they are actively addressing.

  • Floating (or "visiting") housing support for up to 35 Council tenants, at any one time, who are helped to maintain their tenancies. Support includes help in dealing with benefits, home budgetting, developing social network skills and coping with official correspondence and forms.

How to Apply

To apply to move to supported housing you must have a local connection with the Borough and be on the Housing Needs Register

Applicants for floating housing support must be referred by Housing Advisors, Housing Management staff, or other voluntary and statutory agencies.

If you require any information about the service, please contact Mike O' Connor on 01483 535316 or e-mail him.

Other Supported Housing Services

There are also a number of other Supported Housing Schemes and floating housing support services provided by Housing associations and Voluntary agencies in the Borough. The Council works in partnership with these agencies and referrals can be made through the Housing Advice Centre.
