Biology.
The mole (Talpa europaea):

They are about 12-16cm long.

They have black velvety hair.

They have large spade-like forefeet.
-
Moles are solitary animals.
-
They live underground in a series of tunnels, which they patrol looking for earthworms, their main source of food.
