A scheme, 'Rail to Ramble - Days out in the Surrey Hills', is designed to encourage local people and visitors to explore the Surrey Hills by train, by promoting over fifty miles of walking routes between Guildford and Haslemere. It is being publicised by South West Trains with posters and leaflets in stations throughout the area, including London.

A series of leaflets has been produced , with water colour illustrations of the routes and what can be found along them.
The scheme is a partnership project between Surrey Hills AONB Office, South West Trains, Guildford Borough Council, Waverley Borough Council, Surrey County Council, The National Trust, the SITA South West Surrey Partnership and the Countryside Agency.

The 'Rail to Ramble' pack is priced at £4.00.
