Salary up to �28397 pa Temporary 6 month maternity cover post

We are seeking an enthusiastic and self motivated personnel professional to join our small team providing a comprehensive personnel and training service for a progressive local authority employing over 1000 staff.

Under the direction of the Principal Personnel Officer you will be advising and guiding our managers and staff on a wide range of employee relations and personnel policies and procedures, particularly in the areas of staff discipline, sickness absence management, recruitment and selection and in the implementation of a new computerised HR system.

Part or fully CIPD qualified, you will need to have a proven track record of success in these fields and have gained at least two year's experience in an operational personnel role. You must have excellent interpersonal skills and inspire confidence to enable you to build positive and successful working relationships. It is essential that you have a high degree of computer literacy and that you have the ability to manage a varied and demanding workload.
