EDUCATION PROGRAMME

WHERE ARE WE NOW ?

Between Jan and June 1999 the Council�s Education Programme was reviewed. Consultation took place via a questionnaire to every school in the borough and as a result of this, changes were made to the programme.

The Council continue to work on a number of GBC initiatives relating to schools.

The Council continue to consult young people at all levels and provide access to information.

An Environmental Assistant is now concentrating on the Schools Programme.

WHO DO WE WORK IN PARTNERSHIP WITH?

All 64 borough schools, Surrey County Council, numerous environmental agencies, e.g. Environment Agency, World Wide Fund For Nature (WWF), Tidy Britain Group, Other GBC departments, internal Officers� Working Group.

       Questionnaire results analysed and schools programme altered to suit schools needs.

Fact sheet has become the schools A-Z directory. This is a list of organisations which will be published on the GBC website in March 2001.
