Guildford in Bloom is used as the mechanism through which Guildford Borough Council enters the South East and Britain in Bloom campaigns.  The South East in Bloom Campaign encompasses all communities within the South East of England from large cities through to small villages and coastal resorts.  In 2002, as in many past years, Guildford Borough Council won the coveted Wyevale Trophy as winners of South East in Bloom.

Whilst entering, and hopefully being successful in the many competitions is an exciting part of the ‘In Bloom’ competition, the Guildford in Bloom Committee does not intend to lose sight of the main emphasis of the Guildford in Bloom initiative.  The principle objectives are to improve the environment for residents, visitors and business and to promote environmental enhancements and improvements, ensuring that community involvement is maintained as a key objective of the initiative.
