Who are we and What do we do? We are: Trees & Countryside Manager Richard Perrins Trees & Woodland Officer Adam Owen, the Countryside Action Team and the Countryside Operations Team. And our Core values are: The Trees & Countryside Unit strives to give the people of Guildford Borough and our visitors the best parks, urban forest and countryside we possibly can. The values we work towards to achieve this are: Working to protect and enhance the environment at all times. Introducing site-specific management plans. Reducing pesticide use. Working towards recycling all of our green waste and utilising woodland products wherever possible. Promoting community involvement through volunteer opportunities. Promotion of environmental issues through education and publicity. To actively seek external funding. To provide operational efficiency. Ensuring our consultancy service is effective and up to date. Working at every opportunity with local communities and partners. Seeking to continually improve the services we provide.
