Remembrance Book

A Book of Remembrance is on view daily in the Remembrance Room. It provides an inexpensive and lasting form of memorial to those departed.

There are four books, one for each quarter of the year. An opening is provided for each day of the year, and the Book will be open each day at the appropriate page in order that the entry may be seen on every anniversary of the date of death.

The lettering is executed by hand by craftsmen and richly bound and tooled. It will offer the same degree of permanence as the best examples of medieaval illuminated manuscripts.

Miniature Books and Memorial Cards

Miniature Books and Memorial Cards are also available. These are particularly suitable for sending to distant relatives and friends. The Miniature Books are replicas of the Book of Remembrance containing a facsimile copy of the inscription as it appears in the Book of Remembrance.

Memorial Cards are gilt deckle edged containing an inscription as it appears in the Book of Remembrance.

Miniature Books and Memorial Cards may also include a copy of a photograph of your choice.

However it is essential that you make further enquiries should you wish to do this.

To enhance the service we provide any entries made in the Book of Remembrance will be available on the Internet.

This will provide members of your family who may live many miles away access to the Book of Remembrance via the Internet and view a personal entry at any time.
