The Friends of The Electric Theatre actively support the work of this vibrant arts centre through continued fundraising, to ensure that local drama and music groups, artists, childrens theatre, comedy and film have a venue to be seen and developed. GATA (Guildford Amateur Theatre Association)

This is an umbrella organisation with 31 societies and groups including theatre and opera companies, singing and youth groups, as well as dancers and film makers.

GATA work towards advancing public education in the dramatic arts in and around Guildford.

GATA has been a big ally to The Electric Theatre and instrumental in its founding.

Many of the groups perform at The Electric Theatre year in year out - why not drop in and see what they are up to, and may be join in too? Look out for auditions and, if you don't want to tread the boards, there are other ways to get involved too!

For the sum of £100, you can adopt a seat in the main auditorium and make your mark at The Electric Theatre! We'll organise a plaque with your own inscription to be fixed onto the seat of your choice. Why not treat yourself? Or how about a unique gift for a loved one? Is there someone special you'd like to remember? Or, if you're feeling creative, how about writing an entertaining message fro the many people who might sit on that seat, thanks to your sponsorship?
