At twenty years of age, Diana Norman was the youngest reporter in what used to be Fleet Street. She is now married to the film critic Barry Norman and is a writer of biographies and historical novels. Her latest novel, Taking Liberties, is set in the eighteenth century, and is the story of two women both searching for missing people.
Fidelis Morgan is acclaimed for her stage plays, Pamela and Hanover Square, she also appeared on TV in Big Women, Jeeves and Wooster and Mr Majeika. The Ambitious Stepmother is the third mystery to feature the irrepressible Countess Ashby de la Zouche and stupendously bosomed maid Alpiew, dubbed ’Cagney and Lacey’ in corsets by one admiring critic.
The Hostess for this special tea will be Elizabeth Buchan. Elizabeth’s book The Revenge of the Middle-Aged Woman was ten weeks on the New York best-seller list. Her latest novel is The Good Wife about a woman’s role in the world of politics as a politician’s wife.
