Make No Bones About It – A Sing-A-Long Bash
Paul Austin Kelly invites you to join him in some popular tunes drawn from a rainbow of contemporary and traditional musical styles. Paul is an opera star by night and a singer/songwriter by day. He is the founder of the children’s music label Walking Oliver with CD titles including Hello, Michael Rosen Paul will sign his books at WHSmith, High Street, from 4.15pm.

Simon Stephens’s first play Bluebird was produced at the Royal Court in 1998. He was writer in residence at the Royal Exchange Theatre in 1999 and his play Herons (Royal Court 2001) was nominated for the Olivier Award for Most Promising Playwright. Port won the Pearson Award for Best New Play in 2001-2. One Minute opened at the Crucible Theatre in May prior to a national tour.

The Italian Connection - Sarah Dunant and James Runcie talk about their new novels, both set in the art world of Renaissance Italy.
Sarah Dunant has written eight thrillers, the two most recent of which, Transgressions and Mapping the Edge are being made into films for which Sarah is writing the screenplays. Sarah’s latest novel The Birth of Venus was inspired by her love of Florence.
James Runcie’s first novel The Discovery of Chocolate was a story of love, chocolate and a greyhound called Pedro. His novel The Colour of Heaven tells how Paolo, in his search for lapis lazuli, learns about colour, death, beauty and love.
