Care & Repair Agency Scheme

Do you know an elderly or vulnerable person who wants desperately to remain independent in their own home but needs some repairs or improvements carried out to enable them to continue to do so in safety and comfort? Perhaps they have limited funds or feel unable to deal with unknown builders and completing the forms needed to secure financial assistance and building/planning approvals, should these be necessary.

The Borough Council's Care and Repair Agency can help take over all of these worries for eligible applicants and see them through the whole process from start to finish. Works commonly cover any type of repair (e.g. leaking roof), adaptations for the disabled (e.g. stair lifts and shower facilities), improved thermal insulation and heating systems.
