1. Tax Credits and Pension Credit
Tax credits are a new form of financial support for an estimated 6 million families nationally. They replace Working Families Tax Credit, Disabled Person's Tax Credit and Children's Tax Credit. These awards ended in April 2003.
PLEASE ensure that you pass details of any tax credit award to the Housing Benefit Office at Guildford Borough Council.
Pension Credit is the next phase in the Government's strategy for reforming pension provision. It will replace Minimum Income Guarantee, delivered through Income Support for people aged 60 or over.
