Making a claim for Housing and/or Council Tax Benefit has never been easier. You can apply or obtain information in the following ways:

1. You can make a claim on line through this website.

   a) Firstly you can see what the benefits system is all about by reading our leaflets which can be downloaded to your pc.

  b) Once you have read about the benefits system you can see whether you qualify by using the 'QuickCalc' facility.

  c) If you think you might qualify for benefit you can complete your claim on line using the intelligent form.

  d) Once you have made your on line claim we will email you when your claim has been processed and you can check this website again to see when you will be paid and how much you will receive.

That's all there is to it. Claiming and receiving benefit has never been easier or quicker.

2. If you prefer to use more traditional methods of claiming you can telephone the Council's Benefits Service on (01483) 444884. Our staff will be happy to explain what you need to do.

The telephone lines are open on Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm (4.30pm on Fridays).

3. You can also visit the Council Offices at Millmead House, Millmead, Guildford Monday to Wednesday 8.30am to 5pm; Thursday 8.30am to 8pm, and 8.30am to 4.30pm on Friday.
