The SITA Surrey Partnership was created to distribute landfill tax credits to projects across Surrey. It is a partnership formed between SITA Environmental Trust and Surrey County, District and Borough Councils. The next funding round will be launched in July 2003, when £1M will be available for community and environmental improvement projects.

Below are details of a Partnership Project 'Rail to Ramble'

A scheme, 'Rail to Ramble - Days out in the Surrey Hills', is designed to encourage local people and visitors to explore the Surrey Hills by train, by promoting over fifty miles of walking routes between Guildford and Haslemere. It is being publicised by South West Trains with posters and leaflets in stations throughout the area, including London.
A series of leaflets has been produced , with water colour illustrations of the routes and what can be found along them. |
