The Schools Environment Debate is now in its third year and its success just keeps growing!
The Environmental Debate, organised jointly by Guildford Borough Council and the Guildford Environmental Forum, aims to give young people the chance to voice any environmental concerns about local, national and global issues in an open forum.

The event is run in the BBC Question Time format and pupils have the opportunity to ask a panel of 3 Council members about the counties actions on issues such as transport, pollution, recycling and any other environmental matter.
Pupils aged 16-18 years are invited from all over Guildford and all of them are encouraged to think of questions for the panel. Questions are submitted before the Debate to ensure Councillors and Officers have researched and prepared for the questions.
The 2003 debate took place on 19 February 2003 in the Council Chambers and was attended by pupils from the Guildford High School, Kings College and St Peters School.
