As your Local Planning Authority, under the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 (amended by the Planning and Compensation Act 1991), we must make decisions on planning applications that are in line with the approved structure and local plans.
Only in exceptional situations can we can make a decision that is not based on the policies set out in these plans.
Fees
The amount we will charge you for making a planning application has been set by central government. The fees should be the same throughout England.
You will need to pay this fee when you send or deliver your planning application to us. If you post it to us, you should address it to: Development Group, Millmead House, Millmead, Guildford, Surrey, GU2 4BB. If you want to hand deliver it to us, our planning reception is open Monday to Thursday from 8.30am to 5pm and on Friday from 8.30am to 4.30pm.
You will need to send any building control applications and payments to us in a separate envelope.
We do not charge VAT on planning application fees.
