Westfield Road , Slyfield Industrial Estate – Traffic Management Scheme

Description: Lack of regulated parking spaces along Westfield Road is causing obstructions to the free flow of vehicles. The Council is proposing to construct a similar scheme to Moorfield Road at Slyfield, to provide clearly defined parking spaces and standardise the carriageway width to improve vehicle flow.

Spectrum Leisure Centre– Car Park Extension

Description: Demand for parking at the Leisure Centre at times, has indicated that further spaces are required. An outline design has shown that an additional 259 spaces can be built at an approximate cost of £700,000.

Current Status (August 2003): Detailed design nearing completion. Tender documents are anticipated to be issued around September 2003, following planning consent.
