Cremated Remains

There are various options for the final resting place of cremated remains within the Crematorium grounds.

Memorial Vault

Memorial vaults can be leased for ten, twenty, thirty or fifty-year periods and offer a fitting and dignified resting place for two urns or caskets of cremated remains. Each vault features a black granite tablet, with your choice of inscription and a flower vase for your floral tributes.

Scattered in the Glades

The cremated remains are scattered on the surface of the ground in a designated area. The grass in the area is left slightly longer and planted with wild flowers or bulbs. The cremated remains are scattered in the Glades the week following the cremation service unless an appointment has been made otherwise. No markers are placed at the location of the cremated remains.

Garden of Remembrance

Cremated remains can be buried in individual plots in the lawns in the Garden of Remembrance. These plots can be located by using a row and plot number. Cremated remains are normally buried the week following the cremation service unless an appointment has been made otherwise. Cremated remains are not buried in the rose beds.

However to keep the ambience of the Gardens no tributes or markers are left on the lawns. There is the provision for a second interment in each plot. The remains are not in any form of container.

Forwarded to another Crematoria or Destination

We will happily forward any cremated remains to another crematorium or other address within the UK mainland. This normally forwarded by Securicor. There is a charge for this.

Please ask for the current fee.

Temporary Deposit

If there is any doubt in the mind of the family which option to choose, its recommended that the cremated remains are left on temporary deposit until a decision has been made. There is no charge for the first month whilst cremated remains are held pending the arrangements for their final disposition. A fee if however payable for each month or part thereof after the first.

Collecting from the Crematorium

The cremated remains will be stored here until either you or the funeral director is ready to collect the remains. We will only release them to the person or funeral director named.
