DO YOU DO BUSINESS WITH GUILDFORD BOROUGH COUNCIL?

If you or your company supply goods, services or building type works for Guildford Borough Council then you will be interested in the Council’s consultation about new policies towards their purchase (known as ‘procurement’).  Procurement covers everything from paper clips and toilet rolls to multi million pound construction contracts.

The Council is proposing a new procurement framework which includes policies towards ethical and environmental issues, service needs and the Council’s wish to maintain and develop partnerships with suppliers.  This new policy will affect all our partners whether large or small enterprises.

Contributions and comments to help shape the policy would be very welcome.  A copy of the draft policy for consultation can be found on the Council’s website, www.guildfordborough.co.uk or from Adrian Maunders, Director of Housing and Health Services. 

The consultation closes at the end of February 2004.
